AfterEffects of Chikungunya temperature

1. Pain in Joints (Most Common) - It may last for many weeks.

2. Feeling of weakness.

3. Lethargy and Exhaustion.

Why does this pain occurs? -

The pain in the joints is the result of the counter attack by the bodys defense mechanisms to the viral infection. This results in inflammation of tissues and harm to the body cells. It causes muscle and joint pain, when this happens in joints and muscles. It can lead to a locking of the knee joints, elbows or wrists aside from causing tremendous pain. Antibodies activated by a viral assault frequently end up striking cartilages in the joints. This leads to swelling in the joints, often limiting movement.

The residual toxins made by the virus may even function as the reason. These toxins tend to assault the cartilages and lead to inflammation in the joints. The effect could be excruciating joints that are frozen and pain.

Virus that causes Chikungunya reside in the major joints such as for example elbow, wrist, knee and ankle. They change the immune mechanism, leading to joint and muscle pains accompanied by temperature and create toxins. The cartilages also get affected and cause joint inflammation. Normally this happens a couple of days or weeks following the disease. By the time arthritis grows, the virus isn't any longer present within the body.

Most Common joints changed by Chikungunya -

Wrist and elbow.
The joints of ankle, feet and to some extent hip are also changed.
How long does it take for entire relief from your pain

Post-Chikungunya Arthritis can continue as much as three months, in some cases over annually. Medicines are not ineffective in diminishing the healing interval and coping with the pain.
The healthier the body, lower the debility so individuals having healthful lifestyle and healthy dietary habits usually recover faster than others.
The best way to deal with Chikungunya Arthritis

Chikungunya Arthritis can be extremely debilitating as they're not able to do their daily work as normal as well as disabled are normally felt like by the sufferers. This state may be managed by following:

Mild Excercises For Pain Relief

If the joints aren't frequently stretched pain is raised. This is the reason the pain and stiffness is high each day as the joints are moved very less during the night.
Sit on a chair and extend your legs.
Stand and raise your legs.
Stand and twist your body in both directions one by one.
Do not do heavy excercises.

Use Cold Packs -

Wrap a cold ice pack in a material/towel and use it to the areas that are inflamed.

Pain killer Medicines

Always consult your physician before taking any medication.
Long term usage and prevent overuse of pain killer medicines as they may badly affect liver and your kidneys.
