I've heard coffee is a good laxative, or at least goes some way. Prune juice is also helpful and of course increasing your fiber intake but ALSO your water intake in equal measures. If you suspect Gout, get your blood work done for Uric Acid in blood. If it is beyond the normal range, you may have Gout. You need to drink plenty of water, if you are diagnosed with gout. Give up Alcohol and coffee. Meet your orthopedist for proper treatment.
