Recently I have been hearing about ankylosing spondylitis. Before I relocated my doctor mentioned it to me as a possible reason for my back and ankle problems. I don't know how it is diagnosed, but as far as I know, this is an auto-immune disorder that causes inflammation of the spine that is not related to injury. Does anyone know how it is diagnosed? I am pretty sure there are other symptoms such as vision problems and ankle/foot problems. I am interested in any information anyone may have.

Hi Linds,

I don't have both hypermobility and ankylosing spondylitis. However, I am very hypermobile and have had problems with my left ankle, both shoulders and knee caps. Also got problems with my back.

Hope you get the help you need.

Whereabouts are you based ?
