A lack of sleep is not good for your entire body or eyes. Yes, you can get blurred vision from a lack of sleep. What happens is the eye gets really dry, also known as dry eye. This is what can cause the blurred vision.

Not really, you can only experience blurred vision in your yes in that moment when you are staying up late at night but it won't be a reason to permanently blur your vision. I'm experiencing blurred vision too when I don't sleep right away but simply because my eyes are too tired to keep up.

I am not sure what the causes of this blur in the eye would be either other than staring at very bright objects. When I was younger I used to stare at the sun for about a minute at a time. One summer day the Sun was so bright that there was a blurry imprint about the size of the sun as I was staring at it, right in my pupil. It healed up eventually but if you are feeling as though you are undergoing a permanent change in your sight then you should see a specialist as soon as possible. There was another time when I had shingles in my eye, If I had not made an appointment with an eye doctor, my left eye would've had to have been removed. Don't be careless, your sight is a vital part of living.

I thought my blurry vision was also a result of not getting enough sleep or maybe staring at a screen for too long, but I recently visited my eye doctor and found out I actually need glasses. It might not be it but it's worth checking it out. I've worn glasses since I was about 1 and even after years and years not wearing them because I was "cured", I found out after all that this was my problem, astigmatism.

Thomas , Astigmatism is an extremely common vision problem and many of them have it. The reason for it is Light will not focus to just one point in your eye if you have astigmatism.. Nearly all instances could be corrected with contact lenses or eyeglasses as per below-

Corrective lenses - Your eye doctor will most likely prescribe a particular kind of soft contact lenses or glasses in the event you have astigmatism. Your eye doctor will determine which is best for you personally.

Refractive surgery - The form of your cornea alters. There’s more than one kind, which your doctor decides. You’ll need to have eyes that are healthy with corneal scars or no retina issues.

Its best trust your eye doctor and go by his suggestion
